You can participate without any problem with a demo account of the platform the tournament will be held (It can be NinjaTrader, MT4, or MT5)
But remember, you must participate with only one of them. Usually, the tournament organizer will make it clear to you which account you must use participate.
In case you must put a specific amount of money or anything else, they will let you know.
